Review: This story is extremely short at only 13 pages. I really didn’t get what was going on very well and was a bit confused in the beginning. It did finally unravel and had a happy ending. The story was ok and if you want something that only takes a few minutes to read you may like this. If you like spells, short stories, sort of dark, with a happy ending this is for you.

For me it was just OK.

Blurb: Sylvie’s more human librarian than half-blood Fae princess and she definitely prefers books to men. Then, she learns her unwanted Lykae fiancée is marrying someone else. If she doesn’t stop the wedding, the Fae will resume the border war with the Werewolf nation. A high-handed Lykae security guard blocks her every move, and when her plans go awry, she’s kidnapped, stripped, and bound for his pleasure.

Caleb the Cold, King of the Lykae, will do anything to make his younger brother’s wedding special–even pretend he’s a security guard and kidnap his brother’s former fiancée. Punishing her is pure pleasure, until he realizes she’s his mate. Now he needs to woo the woman he’s tormented to the edge of madness, but is it too late to claim her heart, and make her his?

Review: Oh my. What a story. I loved parts of it while other made me laugh with incredulity and some simply made me cringe, they were so cheesy I couldn’t stand them. A weird mix really.

Let’s start with the story shall we? We have a Fae half-blood Princess betrothed to a Lykae Prince who disregards their engagement and marries another woman while lying to his brother and King of the Lykae clans that he resolved his engagement and keeps the gold and jewelry he’s supposed to give to the Fae King for dissolving the engagement for himself.
The result of all that; War!

But the half-human half Fae Princess Silvie has other plans. She decides to attend the wedding and pretend she is ok with it so her brother won’t go on full-fledged war. She didn’t count on the Lykae King though, who believed his brothers lies of her and thought she was only a manipulative bitch who used her body and sexuality to get trinkets and gold and money.

The result of that, Locked in a tower in the otherworld and sexually “punished” until she begged to be given release…
Oh God. Really, the plot was ludicrous. I couldn’t believe what I was reading most of the times and the dialogues, good Heaven, they couldn’t be cheesier. It really plunged the entire plot down earth and had me face palm myself way too many times.

But, there were funny parts there as well and some seriously wicked bloody scenes I simply can’t ignore. Those slashing paws, blood-dripping fangs, and awesome push-kicks were simply marvelous. So much so, that if it weren’t for the dialogues and the repetition of phrases and the constant inner thoughts that drove me crazy, I’d have rated this way higher.

As it is, if you don’t mind the above I suggest you give it a shot. The erotic part of this book was intense and hot enough and the action story quite decent. I’m just too picky when it comes to the balance between romantic and overly sweet/sappy.

Review: A Most Unlikely Countess is book 2 of the To Love a Wildcat series. It works fine as a stand-alone, but be warned you will want to read book one to find out more about Viviana and Alain. This book is such a fun read. Liz isn’t your ordinary heroine. She is shy, withdrawn and pretty much Emo. She hides behind her hair and her image that she hopes scares people away from her. She works in her basement office doing obituaries. Her friend Viviana from book one got Liz a job offer to write Viekko Aho’s Biography. Liz’s mother has a mental illness and Liz finds it hard to leave her, but Viekko is persistent and tells her to bring her mother and her Gnomes along. Viekko is also a very hot main man. He is not only hot and sexy but a very kind sweet man.

I loved how V.L. tells her stories with such wit and humour. It’s so sweet, very hot and sexy and a laugh a minute.

I highly recommend this is you live Ice Hockey, hot Goalies, ferrets, Gnomes, Gothic girls, body piercings, and an all-over hot, sexy , fun, humorous romance.

Review: Move over Nicholas Sparks, here comes Molly McAdams! I loved this book, devoured it in one 8 hour setting, up until 4AM, walking into walls while trying to read and walk at the same time. It’s a very poignant novel that redefines the term “what if”. What would you do if your life was turned upside down and torn apart? What if happiness presented itself to you again as a familiar stranger? Would you take a chance?

Having lived a sheltered life as a military brat, Harper has moved away from home for college. She immediately grabs a best friend, meets not one but two HAWT young men and almost as quickly falls in love. This story centers on Harper, Chase and Brandon in a love triangle the likes of which I’ve never read. What will happen when Harper falls in love with both men? Drama and heartache ensue; as well as love, understanding and bonds that are not easily broken.

These characters have a depth to them that will break your heart, as both men fall in love with Harper and both are just as willing to walk away as long as she’s happy. McAdams delivers a fantastic novel with a realistic storyline that will keep you entranced until the very end. She perfectly balances the heartache with love, and even though there is some mystery, there is triumph as well. I really loved how McAdams pulled me into her story and I felt invested in these characters. This book will have you laughing one minute, then crying, then laughing again. In the literary world that seems to cater to paranormal as of late, it’s refreshing to read this tragically beautiful love story, which truly does have a happy ending. In the end, Harper learns that life is all about Taking Chances.

If you like Nicholas Sparks, you’ll love Molly McAdams.

Blurb: Shay Greer is pure GRITS—a Girl Raised In The South–but nowhere near a demure southern belle. She’s looking for a way out of her broken down marriage when she lands an unexpected job offer she really should refuse. Position? Mistress. Fringe Benefits? Of course. Fraternization with sexy CEO Reardon Boone? Required. Lured by the promise of intimacy missing from her failed marriage, Shay signs on. She’s barely survived a hellish year of heartbreak and needs a fresh start, but she gets more than she bargained for with lowcountry-boy-made-good Reardon Boone.

Bankrolling Shay into his bedroom, Reardon sticks by his tried and true rules: no-strings-attached seduction, no messy emotions, absolutely nothing resembling a relationship. This sassy, sultry woman fits the bill precisely…until she arouses more than his erotic appetite.

So desirable he sets hearts on fire in everyone from downtown debutantes to downhome mommas, Reardon is as irresistible as he is unattainable. Shay falls hard despite their unorthodox arrangement. Determined to discover what’s concealed beneath his Forbes 400 facade, she has no idea how close to home the truth will hit.

Review: So I read the title and an eyebrow rises near my hairline. Sugar Daddy… I keep reading the cover and I see… She wants a job and he wants a mistress …and everything I am screams at me to NOT read this book. This guy pissed me off even before I opened the damned book. So a very sane person might ask me why on earth I proceeded to read the book anyway.
Well, curiosity is a very old friend of mine, that, and my boss asked me to of course.

But damn, what an opening this book has. Not only the future employer is literally telling her the job he offers is that of a mistress, but the woman herself is married. Hmm, now I’m all for fun and slutting around but this hit my morals a bit too hard. I dislike cheating and deceiving with a passion.

But there is that underline sarcasm that spices up the text, this MC’s voice is so damned funny and hilarious and enticing that I must say it stroke up my curiosity even more and admittedly I am thankful of it, because I so enjoyed the flirtatious and downright sensual, while funny text I got to read.

As for the woman, well she somehow saved it by wanting the job in first place so she’d have the financial stability to leave her husband. Does it make it all right? I don’t know, everyone has their own hang-ups, and as for me, I didn’t mind it much simply because the writing bewitched me. It was fun and I was laughing right up to the point where the dialogues got on the real chatty side. Oh my, women can kill you with words, and words upon words, and then some more words. Damn it Shay, did you have to beat the corpse so much? And the tears, oh God, if this wasn’t a drama I don’t know what you would call it. It had a very soap opera feel to it.

The story itself is quite touching. It tells of pain and deep hurts anyone of us could suffer. It tells of people trying to overcome their hurts anyway they can, making mistakes in the way to their chase for happiness. It tells of a man having everything a man could want, yet lost the one thing he deeply loved.

Underneath his mouthwatering appearance and all his money and swagger, he was just a man. One whose heart hadn’t merely been broken, but a man whose very spirit had been destroyed.

The passage above is a very good example of what you will encounter and it’s only the man’s side. The woman, Shay, herself has a tragedy going on in her life as well. Her marriage crumbled under the weight of loss when she miscarried her baby. Not only had she to suffer the pain for her baby, but the rejection that came from her hurting husband as well. In her search for a way out of her misery and dark tunnel her life had become, she falls for the oldest trap of them all. Consenting to become a paid mistress for a man who was hell-bent on not feeling, she simply changed the rules one day at a time, making him feel, making herself feel as well, and ultimately getting trapped in a whole new world of emotions. All along knowing, it might end with a bigger hurt than the one she was trying to overcome.

Both of us always waitin’ for the other shoe to drop.

…Shay and Reardon get into a relationship with their eyes wide open this time. Hope and apprehension coloring the story, anticipation and wistfulness that this time Fate might have a good life for them in store and not yet another world of desolate and darkness.

Yes, this is a very emotional story, spiked up with sensual scenes and intimacy of the kind that makes your heart thump harder in your chest. The happy and fun moments go hand in hand with trepidation and tears, making for a roller coaster of emotions that assault you with the force of a tsunami. Somehow, even I that am known to dislike the too much drama and cheesy feelings, I felt for these characters and hoped along with them for a happy ending. A book that normally would not hold my interest became so much more. Was it the mother in me? Perhaps. But I enjoyed the book, the story, and the characters. I fell in love with Shay’s voice and her Southern upbringing, and I simply adored Reardon. Who wouldn’t; the way he was described was hotter than Hell.

So why is she hearing voices that speak to her from the past, and in Ojibway? Why has she been chosen to care for an orphaned kitten, and how can it possibly all be related?

Review: Honestly, this was quite a disappointing read for me. From the blurb I had the impression something major would happen, even some paranormal activity the way those dreams came into view. Reading it, that impression got stronger at first only to deflate as I continued reading.

This is a simple enough story that shows the peak of April’s life. Being thrown out of her house when she came out to her parents, April didn’t expect much happiness in her life, but things panned out and not only she found a woman to love and cherish being loved and cherished right back, but a loved one from her past comes back into her life making her whole.

The kitten I didn’t really understood what her point as a character was. Don’t expect anything to happen with her, she’s just a kitten. As lovely as they are, I was put off because frankly I expected her to be some sort of a shifter or something. Really, the intro made you believe that much. But no, it’s a simple addition to an already established relationship/home.

In  the end I have no idea what the point of this story was, but I’m going to take a wild guess and say it was motivational and maybe point out the fact that everything happens for a reason, and no matter how bad things are the sun always shines the next day. For me it was a flat read though, one I didn’t get to enjoy a lot as the possibilities this story had were numerous yet unexplored.

Review: Presley wants new holiday traditions but she has a thing for Frazier, the hot firefighter and Gunnar the-oh-so sexy cop with a heart, that are also best friends. She refuses to choose between them and break up their friendship though the two together is her idea of the one perfect man.

This is a very hot, romantic, sweet, and sexy, dream come true story. .Just what you want for a holiday read. The perfect combo of friendship, love, romance and wanting to make the holidays perfect for someone they care about.  My only issue is its like many ménage stories where the sexual focus is on one person. I would like to see the love spread around and shared among partners more.

Santa, I’ve been a good girl this year too. I want what Presley got.

If you like friends to lovers, Sexy firefighters, hot cops and a loving hot ménage and a sweet sexy Christmas story this is for you!  Grab a snuggly blanket and a hot cup of cocoa and enjoy!
